Biography

Dr. Nerenz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the 91΄σΟγ½Ά and a Co-Director of Clinical Chemistry at Wisconsin Diagnostic Laboratories. He received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed a Clinical Chemistry fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Nerenz is attending faculty for the 91΄σΟγ½ΆPathology Clinical Chemistry rotation, where he enjoys leading residents in didactic teaching sessions. In his clinical role, Dr. Nerenz works closely with clinicians to help interpret laboratory test results and apply measured values to guide care decisions. In addition, he acts as Principal Investigator for clinical trials assessing the performance of new clinical laboratory tests, with a primary focus on Endocrinology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and Nephrology.
