Program Director, Pediatric Residency Training Program
Professor of Pediatrics

Dr. Weisgerber received his undergraduate degree from Marquette University. He received his medical degree from the 91΄σΟγ½Ά. He completed his pediatric residency at the Medical College of Georgia. He then returned to Milwaukee to complete a fellowship in general academic pediatrics and master’s degree in epidemiology from the 91΄σΟγ½Ά. Following fellowship he joined the Department of Pediatrics faculty as a pediatric hospitalist in 2004. He was an associate director of the pediatric residency program from 2008-2012 before becoming the program director in 2012.

Dr. Weisgerber is an avid sports fan and he enjoys playing, coaching, and spectating. The only teams he likes more than Marquette are his daughters’ soccer teams. He enjoys the diversity of patients and conditions he sees as a hospitalist and is active in many aspects of medical education – from administration, to teaching on the wards, to educational research. "I love having three jobs in one – being a hospitalist, a clinician-educator and a Program Director! The people here at 91΄σΟγ½Άare fantastic – whether it is the patients, the faculty, the nurses, the students, the fellows, the administrative staff – and of course the residents. I can’t imagine being anywhere else."

Dr. Rogers received her undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis and her medical degree from Loyola University in Chicago. She completed her pediatric residency at the 91΄σΟγ½Ά followed by a chief residency year at the 91΄σΟγ½Ά. Following her chief year, she joined the Department of Pediatrics at 91΄σΟγ½Άas a pediatric hospitalist. Her role as a hospitalist has allowed her to continue to enjoy the two things about 91΄σΟγ½Άshe loved the most: the amazing breadth of patients that are cared for here and the ability to work closely with residents. She thoroughly enjoyed her time as chief resident being involved with medical education and was thrilled to return to Med Ed as an associate program director in 2015. She particularly enjoys being involved with simulation education and quality improvement work. Although she frequently returns to nearby Chicago to visit family, she now calls Milwaukee home and has loved sharing all the city has to offer with her husband and two children.

Professor of Neurology

Dr Bass received her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Illinois, Champaign/ Urbana. She received her medical degree from Southern Illinois University School of medicine. She completed the first two years of her post graduate training in pediatrics at Southern Illinois University in Springfield Illinois and her child neurology training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. After a 21 year career there, Dr. Bass joined the faculty at 91΄σΟγ½Άin 2022.

Dr. Bass has a passion for education and teaching. She has 20 years of experience as a Child Neurology Residency Director and is excited to bring this expertise to this role at MCW. She can be spotted in the hospital dressing up as a giant eyeball or reflex hammer to make a mark on her learners regarding important aspects of the neurological examination. She has had the honor to participate in the training of many successful residents who have gone on to practice child neurology in academic settings as well as private practice. Her special interests include medical education, neurogenetics, neuromuscular disorders and general child neurology.

Dr. Bass grew up in the Northern suburbs of Chicago. She loves taking nature walks with her dog and has enjoyed exploring all Milwaukee has to offer since her move to Wisconsin. Fall and Halloween are her favorite times of the year! She is so thankful and thrilled to have started this new chapter in her career at MCW. This is an amazing group of faculty who bring their “infectious enthusiasm” to teaching and have welcomed her into the 91΄σΟγ½Άfamily.
