Biography

Dr. Laura Gottschlich joined the Department of Family and Community Medicine in 2005 and the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in 2008. Born and raised in Milwaukee, she received her undergraduate in Biology from Marquette University in 1995, and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Midwestern University in 2000.

Dr Gottschlich finished her training at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL, receiving a certification in Family Medicine in 2003 and Sports Medicine in 2004.

Dr. Gottschlich divides her time between Sports Medicine at the Froedtert Sports Medicine Center and Family Medicine at the Wheaton Franciscan Family Care Center. She welcomes all age groups and has a special interest in Pediatrics, Woman’s Health and Sports Medicine – including all sports. Growing up as an Irish Dancer and now teaching full time for a competitive Irish Dance group in Milwaukee and helping in the care of the , Dr. Gottschlich has a personal interest also in dancers. She has a very deep commitment to her patients and believes in treating not just the problem but also what is causing the problem. She invites her patients to be involved in the decisions of their care so they can together formulate a plan to lead them on the road to good physical and mental health.

Dr. Gottschlich was recently named as one of the Best Doctors in America, and previously as one of M Magazine's Top Doctors for 2013.
